Strategy #1: The One-Minute Meditation

Life is happening fast. Majority of the time, there is some sort of hustle and bustle surrounding us. No matter how hard we try to keep up with the fast-pace and ever changing environment, the stress and feeling of overwhelm just seems to creep in.

If you’re the kind of person who has a little more stress than you’d like, try this one-minute meditation. This quick meditation will help you center yourself and find some inner peace amidst the chaos of everyday life. Not only that, but it will help you reduce inflammation in the body and decrease the toxic load on your organs.

Option 1

To do the one-minute meditation, breathe in slowly for 15 seconds, then exhale slowly for 15 seconds. Then repeat. That’s it. It’s really that simple.

Option 2

If you’d like to change it up, you can breathe in one nostril and exhale out the other. You’ll switch the nostrils for inhalation and exhalation on the second round.

You could also play around with how long you breathe in for and how long you breathe out for. The longer the inhalation, the more energy you will have. The longer the exhalation, the more relaxed you will feel. Experiment, and see what works for you.

Expressing gratitude can shift your whole mood. When you are grateful for the little things, the big things just seem to start falling right in place. I make sure to mentally review all the things I am grateful for on a daily basis. Some people find it to be helpful to write a gratitude list every morning or evening.
